Welcome to Home Theater Builder - the first publication launched under Flying Cloud Press. Home Theater Builder (HTB) was an easy choice with which to launch our new company. We have a twenty-two year history of publishing magazines in the consumer electronics arena covering personal computers, video and computer gaming, amateur photography, home automation, and the entire personal electronics categories. HTB is the culmination of many of those titles, but focused on the project, or Do-It-Yourself (DIY), aspects of home theater.

Our team felt what was needed is a magazine to help everyone from the "guy next door" who just purchased a DVD player and wants to 'step up' his/her A/V system, to the home theater aficionado who is always improving and tweaking various components. To target those segments, the DIY section of HTB is arranged by reader skills and abilities. For those new to home theater, simple projects will save them money and produce terrific results. Those looking to move up the technology ladder will find appropriate features in the magazine to enhance their systems and provide new ideas. The more elaborate projects entail more effort (and bucks) but bring your home entertainment system to the high-end level.

Also in each issue you'll find advice from pro home theater installers, Q&A, products reviews, home theater news, and other helpful tips.

We have many exciting projects in store, and look forward to building HTB into a valuable resource for everyone.
